How is the NIF letter calculated?

Divide the 8-digit number by 23 and the remainder determines the letter according to the table: TRWAGMYFPDXBNJZSQVHLCKE.

How is a CIF validated?

The CIF has an initial letter (entity type), 7 digits and a control character. The control is calculated by summing digits at even and odd positions (odd ones multiplied by 2).

What are the differences between NIF, CIF and NIE?

NIF: Spanish individuals (8 digits + letter). CIF: legal entities (letter + 7 digits + control). NIE: foreign residents (X/Y/Z + 7 digits + letter).
